India Republic Day
Tuesday January 24 2012 Staff Report Panorama India with support from the Consulate General of India is celebrating India’s Republic Day Sunday, Jan 29, at Pearson Convention Centre, Brampton (Airport Rd & Steeles Av) 11am-5pm.

India annually commemorates Republic Day on Jan 26.

Celebrations will include: Panorama India Idol contest; traditional folk dance competition; cultural programming; Indian cuisine; live music; shopping; etc.

Several other events are also being held across the GTA to celebrate Republic Day.

Among these, Patanjali Yogapeeth Canada, Rana Canada (Rajasthan Association of North America), Arya Samaj Markham, Sanatan Mandir Cultural Centre and Toronto Arya Samaj jointly celebrate Republic Day of India Saturday, Jan 28, at the Vedic Cultural Centre (4345-14th Ave, Markham).

Events begin at 3pm, and culminate in a Rishi Langar (dinner for everyone present) at 6.30pm.
