One thing led to another and today, a scant six months on, Mississauga-based Vandana Vishwas is going places.

She's just received word she's being nominated for Favourite World Artist of the Year at The Indies - The Independent Music Awards 2010!

"Following the release, the album has been doing really well and has attracted widespread media attention," said a statement.

"We have just now been informed that Vandana has been nominated for the Favourite World Artist of the year at The Indies - The Independent Music Awards 2010! The final decision will be done by public voting! And that is when we need all (your) support, as Vandana is the only South Asian nominated in any category, and we can all make her winner."
