Kamal Nath, the Indian Minister of Roads and Highways, is set to visit Toronto later this month.

While here, he will address the Indo-Canadian business community at a dinner hosted by Canada-India Business Council, according to Rana Sarkar, president and executive director.

The event, titled The Future of Indian Infrastructure and Trade is being held Tuesday, Mar 23, from 6.30pm, at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel (371 King St East, Toronto.

India is committed to $500 billion in infrastructure spending in the next five years and is looking to build key global partnerships. Nath is a deeply influential public figure in India and globally.

As Minister of Roads and Highways he is now tasked with growing India's highway infrastructure from 2km a day to 20km a day in construction and forging public-private partnerships and relationships with the global investor and business community.
