Wednesday March 10 2010

Atul Kumria, Regional Director - Americas, Kingfisher Airlines, and Ronjon Lahiri, Director, Indiatourism Toronto, underlined the importance of good air links to boost tourism.

The two were speaking at a reception hosted by Indiatourism Toronto recently.

Kumria in particular spoke about Kingfisher Airlines, and of Chairman and Managing Director Dr Vijay Mallya's philosophy of providing excellent service to its guests.

Preeti Saran, Indian Consul-General, also spoke about the upcoming Commonwealth Games in India, and the importance of good air links to such events.

Apart from Kuria, Savio Dias and Meera Prashad also formed of the visiting Kingfisher contingent, while Vibhava Tripathi complemented the Indiatourism Toronto team.

While Kingfisher has been active in India, and has to an extent unfurled its wings further to seven international destinations, the private airline has yet to start operations to North America.

The airline's international destinations at present include Dhaka, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Dubai and London.
