Asin defends her visit to Sri Lanka

COLOMBO - South Indian actress Asin, who is currently in Sri Lanka with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to shoot the movie Ready, has defended her decision to visit Sri Lanka amidst threats to ban her films in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Asin has reportedly said that she was not responsible for choosing Lanka as the location for Ready.

"I am involved merely in the capacity of an artist," Asin has been quoted in the media as saying.

The decision to move the shooting Mauritius to Sri Lanka on gathered much criticism from the South Indian movie industry, which has threatened to boycott any movie shot in Sri Lanka.
